an accident with a motorcycle. traffic accident, skid marks and helmet on road

What would you do if you witnessed a car accident with severe injury? Would you rush to the scene to help? Many of us like to think we would render aid, but the truth is that we don’t really know how we will react until we are put in that situation. Thankfully, for one man, it wasn’t a single person that jumped into action following a motorcycle crash, but three. Those three people are being hailed as heroes and are credited for possibly saving the man’s life.

According to reports, a man was driving his motorcycle on Georgia Highway 101 near Bud Cole Road in Paulding County. As he was driving, a truck carrying hay pulled out in front of him, not giving the motorcycle driver any room to stop or maneuver. The motorcycle struck the back end of the truck and slid underneath the vehicle, becoming wedged. The truck then burst into flames.

Witnesses to the accident ran to the truck and pulled the man to safety. They are now being hailed as heroes by the man and his family. The man’s family has already reached out to these heroes, one of whom it was discovered was an off-duty sheriff’s deputy. The driver of the motorcycle is looking forward to being able to thank the trio himself.

It will be eight to 12 weeks before the man is up and walking on his own again. For now, he is healing. As a result of the crash, the man suffered several broken bones, broken ribs and a punctured lung.
