Decatur, Georgia is the city-center and county seat of Dekalb County, boasting a population in excess of 20,000 people. Decatur is located approximately five miles west of the Midtown district in Atlanta and is considered an “in-town suburb” of Atlanta. Highways 75 and 85 provide easy access to the area and Ponce de Leon, Commerce, and Church are the most traveled roads in Decatur, Georgia. Decatur is an important artistic, cultural, and residential area in Atlanta with numerous office buildings, stores, and restaurants. In addition, Decatur is home to the Dekalb County Courthouse.
