Tiger picking up a scent

Many people believe, and rightly so, that the only place to see a tiger is in a zoo. No one living in the United States expects to look out their window and see a jungle cat on their sidewalk or in their backyard. This is exactly what happened in Atlanta last week in an unusual string of events.

According to reports, Suzy the tiger was being transported by a company called Feld Entertainment. The company was transporting the tiger from Tampa to Memphis. People of Atlanta, watch out: Hurricane Irma is on her way. As residents of Houston and the surrounding area assess the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, the East Coast is preparing for the landfall of what may be the strongest hurricane of current record. Irma was spotted on the Atlantic Ocean just as Harvey was dying out, and people quickly took notice.

Hurricane Irma is currently classified as a Category 3 storm and is expected to be upgraded to a Category 4, if not a Category 5. If the storm remains at this level when it hits land, experts warn that destruction may be imminent. The state of Florida is already under a declaration of emergency, even though the storm is not expected to make landfall before the end of the week.
